On 7/29/13 at about 3:52 AM, Tukwila PD responded to the 4800 block of S. 125 St.
The person calling 911 witnessed the car plunge into the Duwamish River. The driver, a
35 year old Tukwila man, managed to exit the car and wait on the river bank for rescue.
The driver of the car was transported to Valley Medical Center for treatment for minor
injuries. Tukwila Police are continuing to investigate whether or not alcohol was
involved. Charges for the driver are pending the results of the investigation.
The car was removed from the river by a tow truck and impounded.
This is the only information available at this time; a department spokesman will release
