A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A NEW PUBLIC WORKS FEE SCHEDULE,
WHICH AMENDS VARIOUS FEES REGARDING SURFACE WATER AND
SEWAGE.
WHEREAS, Tukwila's Public Works Department's surface water rates have not been
increased since 2000; and
WHEREAS, Tukwila's fees are significantly lower than the average of neighboring
jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the City needs to recoup a greater percentage of the cost of operating
and maintaining its infrastructure, and sewage and surface water utilities; and
WHEREAS, adopting the fees in a separate document will allow them to be more
easily updated in the future;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Public Works fees will be charged according to the following schedule:
Public Works Fee Schedule
Permit Description Fee
Type A (Short -Term Nonprofit) $50.00
Type B (Short -Term Profit) $100.00
Type C $250.00 Application Base Fee, plus four
(Disturbance of City Right -of -Way) components based on construction value:
1) Plan Review
2) Construction Inspection
3) Pavement Mitigation
4) A Grading Plan Review
Type D (Long -Term) $100.00
Type E (Potential Disturbance of $100.00
City Right -of -Way)
Type F (Blanket Permits) $250.00 Processing Fee, plus $5,000.00 cash
deposit, withdraw $100.00/ instance for inspection
Additional Inspections $47.00 per inspection
Franchise Telecommunications $5,000.00 Administrative Fee
Franchise Cable $5,000.00 plus 5% of total revenue
Street Vacation $1,200.00
Latecomer's Agreements $500.00 Processing Fee, plus 17% Administrative
Fee, plus $500.00 Segregation Fee
Flood Zone Control $50.00

Commercial and Industrial Flat rate of $14.00 per month and in addition any
Sewage Service usage over 750 cubic feet of water per month shall
be at the rate of $14.00 per 750 cubic feet (TMC
14.16.030, No. 4).
Sewage Late Charge $5.00 per month on sewage accounts more than 30
days in arrears (TMC 14.16.030, No. 5).
