ORDINANCE NO. 841
ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION FROM SOUTHCENTER OF OFFICE SPACE
TO BE USED BY THE TUKWILA POLICE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Southcenter Shopping Center has offered to
donate to the City of Tukwila certain office space near the North
entrance to the mall, to be used by the Tukwila Police Department
as a Community Affairs Center in which to conduct police business,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
That the offer of rent -free office space from
Southcenter Shopping Center, said space being designated as
C 13, 720 Sou- khc;er +er for use by the Tukwila Police
Department as a Community Affairs Center in which to conduct
police business, be accepted on the following terms:
A. Southcenter shall make modifications involving
partitioning, revisions to the heating system, and will install
new carpeting and painting at Southcenter's expense.
B. The City of Tukwila will provide furnishings and
draperies.
C. Electrical service will be provided and paid for
by Southcenter.
D. The City of Tukwila will be responsible for
telephone service and for janitorial services.
E. Use of the office space may be terminated at any
time by Southcenter upon the giving of 60 days' written notice.
F. Occupancy of the premises shall be at no charge
for rent to the City of Tukwila.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
