Mayor Pro Tempore, Dennis Robertson, called the Special Meeting to order at 9:17 pm directly following
the Committee of the Whole Meeting.
ROLL CALL:
Christy O'Flaherty, Deputy City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present were Dennis Robertson,
Mayor Pro Tempore, Councilmembers Joe Duffie, Joan Hernandez, Pam Carter, Jim Haggerton, Pam
Linder, and Verna Griffin.
OFFICIALS:
Rhonda Berry, City Administrator; Christy O'Flaherty, Deputy City Clerk.
CONSENT AGENDA:
a. Approval of Minutes: June 5, 2006 (Regular); June 19, 2006 (Regular)
b. Approval of Vouchers #324518 324832 in the amount of $2,601,032.01
c. Accept as complete the Card Access Control System Project with Custom Security Systems of Lacey,
Washington; authorize release of retainage, subject to the standard claim and lien release procedures
(final cost of project: $83,883.11).
d. Accept as complete the city Shops Re -roof Project with Western Roofing Service of Redmond,
Washington; authorize release of retainage subject to the standard claim and lien release procedures
(final cost of project $219,776.00).
e. Accept turnover of street improvements and storm detention facility as part of the Cascade Glen (a/k/a
Hillside Homes) development (value of transferred assets from the developer to the City is $351,752.55).
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY HERNANDEZ THAT THE CONSENT AGENDA BE APPROVED
AS SUBMITTED*
Mayor Pro Tempore Robertson asked to have ITEM E removed from the Consent Agenda, due to the
need for additional information. This topic will come forward to a future meeting under New Business.
*MOTION CARRIED 7 -0 TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA WITH THE REMOVAL OF ITEM E.
