Mayor Mullet called the Special Meeting to order at 9:54 pm directly following the Committee of the Whole
Meeting.
ROLL CALL:
Christy O'Flaherty, Deputy City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present were Dennis Robertson,
Council President, Councilmembers Joe Duffie, Joan Hernandez, Pam Carter, Jim Haggerton, Pam
Linder, and Verna Griffin.
OFFICIALS:
Rhonda Berry, City Administrator; Christy O'Flaherty, Deputy City Clerk.
AMEND AGENDA
MOVED BY HERNANDEZ, SECONDED BY DUFFIE TO AMEND ITEM 3, UNFINISHED BUSINESS TO
READ TO SET A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SIGN
CODE TO EXPAND THE PURPOSES OF THE SIGN CODE, AND TO CREATE ADDITIONAL SIGN
REGULATIONS FOR PUBLIC FACILITIES. MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
CONSENT AGENDA:
Approval of Vouchers #325087 #325377 in the amount of $1,922,515.87
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY HERNANDEZ THAT THE CONSENT AGENDA BE APPROVED
AS SUBMITTED.*
Councilmember Duffie requested that when figures are changed on the vouchers that initials be included
by the person making the amendment. Mayor Mullet indicated he would look into the situation.

MOVED BY ROBERTSON, SECONDED BY HERNANDEZ TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF
AUGUST 7, 2006 FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SIGN CODE TO EXPAND THE PURPOSES
OF THE SIGN CODE, AND TO CREATE ADDITIONAL SIGN REGULATIONS FOR PUBLIC
FACILITIES. MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
