Helps to ensure that officers are patrolling the right area

criminals in a timely manner.

Established Key Offender Criteria and program launch
Proven industry methods in identifying key offenders and hot spot
Offenders must meet certain contact metrics in
order to prevent bias
Established web -based program (InfoShare)
to manage key offender and hot spots data
Officers have continuous access to the data for identification and c
targeted (repeat offenders or even victims such as repeat run -away
Collaborated with city prosecutor regarding program implementatio
Identified Grand Terrace as a City Hot Spot
Data driven approach based on significant increased criminal activit
Implemented the Chronic Nuisance Ordinance protocols for mitigati

Facilitated area citizen involvement as part of the broad problem -so
Worked closely with Tukwila Code Enforcement, Fire Department

The central component of this strategy is to improve our
investigative capabilities through adequate staffing to ar
criminals in a timely manner
Auto -Theft Task Force participation — Regional effort to significantly

Assignments will become effective once staffing levels are adequat
Since July 1, 2012, the City has hired:
12 police officers (2 lateral, 10 entry - level)
Of that, 4 entry -level police officers did not pass FTO
