HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0815 - LID #20 (Local Improvement District) - Sewer System Connection Fees 6 ;0 CITY OF TUK WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 815 v AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 807 BY CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 20 AND ESTABLISHING A BASIS FOR DETERMINING SPECIAL CONNECTION CHARGES TO THE SEWER SYSTEM WITHIN SAID DISTRICT. WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. 807, the City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, has declared its intention to improve an area of the City of Tukwila by installation of a system of eight and twelve -inch sanitary sewer lines and WHEREAS, It is in furtherance of the health, safety and welfare of the people of the City of Tukwila that a certain area be deleted from L.I.D. No. 20, and WHEREAS, The City has funds available to contribute to the costs of said L.I.D., making it unnecessary to increase the assessments for the remaining parcels of property, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 807 and Exhibit A attached thereto be amended to read as follows: "Section 2. There is hereby created and established a Local Improvement District to be known and designated as Local Improvement District No. 20 of the City of Tukwila, Washington, the boundaries of the property encompassing said Local Improvement District being set forth in Amended Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof." Section 2. That there be added to Ordinance No. 807 an additional section as follows: "Section 8. In addition to the regular connection charge there shall be'imposed upon properties not within the boundaries of Local Improvement District No. 20, whose owners desire to connect to the Local Improvement District No. 20 sewer system, -1- a special connection charge which shall be computed on the same basis as assessments levied against properties within the boundaries of Local Improvement District No. 20, so that such properties shall bear their equitable share of the cost of such system." No. 39 and the Easterly margin of SR 181; Thence Northerly along said Easterly margin to its intersection with a line perpendicular to said Easterly margin and 630 feet Northerly of the North line of said D.L.C. No. 39, as measured along said Easterly margin; Thence Northeasterly along said perpendicular line to its inter- section with the Easterly margin of the Puget Sound Electric Company Railway right of way; Thence Southerly along said Easterly margin to its intersection with the Southwesterly extension of the Southeasterly line of the Northwesterly 22 feet of Lot 1, Block 18, of Hillman's Seattle Garden Tracts, according to plat thereof recorded in volume 11 of plats, page 24, records of King County, Washington; Thence Easterly along said Southeasterly line to its intersection with the Easterly line of said D.L.C. No. 39 (Westerly Bank of Green River); Thence Southerly along said Easterly line to its intersection with the said South line of D.L.C. No. 39; Thence Westerly along said South line to its intersection with the said Easterly margin of S.R. 181 and the Point of Beginning.
