ORDINANCE NO. 814
ORDINANCE ADOPTING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR
OPERATION AND USE OF CITY PARK PROPERTIES.

WHEREAS, It is necessary and is in furtherance of the
public safety, health and welfare, that rules and regulations
be adopted governing operation, use and conduct in public parks
within the City of Tukwila,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
The following park rules and regulations are hereby
adopted:
Section 1. It is unlawful to remove, destroy, mutilate
or deface any structure, monument, wall, fence, equipment, bench,
table, trees, plants, signs or other property lawfully in any
park in the City of Tukwila.
Section 2. It is unlawful to allow or permit any animal
to run at large in any park. Horses are not permitted in any
park except on posted bridle trails.
Section 3. It is unlawful to operate any motor vehicle
or place any motor vehicle within the park without the written
authority of the Public Works Director of the City of Tukwila.
Section 4. It is unlawful to discharge any fireworks
or firearms within the boundaries of any public park within the
City of Tukwila.
Section 5. It is unlawful in any manner to tease, annoy,
disturb, molest, catch, injure or kill, or to throw any stone or
missile of any kind or to strike or strike at with any stick or
other weapon, any`animal, bird, fowl or fish in any park areas,
except that fishing may be permitted in designated areas when
so posted by authority of the Park Board.

Section 6. It is unlawful to throw any refuse or litter in any
park, except in designated receptacles. It is unlawful to deposit
any refuse not generated in the parks in designated park receptacles.
Section 7. It is unlawful to build any fire, except in devices
or fireplaces.

using approved devices and or fireplaces. No open fires are
permitted.
Section 8. It is unlawful for any person while in a public park
to conduct himself in a lewd, obscene or disorderly manner.
Section 9. All group activities must be scheduled on a first
come first served basis by contacting the office of the
Department of Public Works, Monday through Friday, between the
hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The telephone number for this

Section 10. Persons in violation of these rules and regulations
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be
punished by imposition of a fine or not more than $300.00 and /or
imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA AND
APPROVED BY THE MAYOR at a regular meeting thereof this 15th day of
October, 1973.
