Alteration or disturbance is prohibited pursuant to TMC 18.45. Please call the City of Tukwila for more information." The project has since been revised to exclude any removal of trees in the wetland buffer and to reduce the scale of work in the wetland buffer. As a result, the original conditions of approval for the land use applications are revised as follows below. Prior to the removal of any trees or site grading, the clearing limits must be clearly marked on -site to ensure there is no encroachment on the wetland or the wetland buffer enhancement area. 2. Fencing must be installed outside the clearing limits fencing adjacent to the 12 -inch coniferous fir that is being retained to prevent damage to the root system from equipment and vehicles. The fence should be installed well outside of the drip line of the tree (allow 1 foot of protective radius for every inch of trunk diameter). 3. Trees slated for removal that are in close proximity to trees being retained should be cut to the ground level and not pushed over with equipment. 4. In lieu of a split rail fence to delineate the boundary between the garden area and the buffer area, signage shall be posted that reads: "Protection of this natural area is in your care. Alteration or disturbance is prohibited pursuant to TMC 18.45. Please call the City of Tukwila for more information." In addition, shrubs will be used to form a natural fence to inhibit human encroachment on the wetland buffer and wetland. The latest edition of the standard shall be used unless a specific date is indicated. NOTE PRIORITIES: Notes on the individual drawings govem over these general notes. SPECIFICATIONS: Refer to the contract specifications for information in addition to that contained in these notes and the structural drawings. STRUCTURAL DETAILS: The structural drawings are intended to show the general character and extent of the project and are not intended to show all details of the work. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The contractor is responsible for the means and methods of construction and all job related safety standards such as OSHA and WSHA including those steel erection items specifically addressed in the latest OSHA regulations. The contractor is responsible for the strength and stability of the structure during construction and shall provide temporary shoring, bracing and other elements required to maintain stability until the structure is complete. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with the work required in the construction documents and the requirements for executing it properly. The contractor shall at his discretion employ a Washington State registered civil, structural engineer PE, SE, for design of temporary bracing and shoring. Bolting and field welding at all member connections is to be completed prior to the release of the member from the hoisting mechanism unless reviewed and approved by the General Contractor's temporary bracing and shoring design engineer. Submit construction sequence to Architect/Engineer for review. SITE VERIFICATION: The contractor shall verify all dimensions and conditions at the site. ADJACENT UTILITIES: The contractor shall determine the location of all adjacent underground utilities prior to earthwork, foundations, shoring, and excavation. Any utility information shown on the drawings and details is approximate and not necessarily complete. SUBMITTALS SUBMITTALS: Submittals of shop drawings, mill tests and product data for items, designed by the SSE, shall be made to the Architect prior to construction. The contractor shall review and stamp the submittal before forwarding to the Architect. Once the contractor has completed his review, the SER will review the submittal for general conformance with the design of the building and will stamp the submittal accordingly. Submittals shall be made in time to provide a minimum two -weeks for review by the Architect. Submittals required for each section of these notes are specified in that section. SHOP DRAWING REVIEW: Review by the Architect is for general compliance with the design concept and the contract documents. TESTS AND INSPECTIONS INSPECTIONS: All construction is subject to inspection by the Building Official in accordance with IBC Sec. 108. The contractor shall coordinate all required inspections with the Building Official. SPECIAL INSPECTIONS: In addition to inspections required by the local jurisdiction per IBC Sec. 109, special inspectors shall, in accordance with IBC Sec. 109, shall be reviewed and approved by the Architect prior to commencement of work. Special inspectors shall be listed with WABO or shall submit their credentials for review by the GC and design team. Apply curing compound at rate equivalent to rate of application at which curing compound was originally tested for conformance to requirements of ASTM C 309. (4) Use curing compound compatible with and applied under direction of system manufacturer of protective sealer.
