2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unless approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All mechanical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center
(206/431- 3670).
4: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
5: New suspended ceiling grid and light fixture installations shall meet the non - building structures seismic design
requirements of ASCE 7.
6: Partition walls that are tied to the ceiling and all partitions greater than 6 feet in height shall be laterally braced
to the building structure.
7: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International
Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code.
8: All food preparation establishments must have Seattle/King County Department of Public Health sign -off prior to opening
or doing any food processing. Arrangements for final Health Department inspection shall be made by calling Seattle/King
County Department of Public Health, (206/296 - 4928), at least three working days prior to desired inspection date. On
work requiring Health Department approval, it is the contractor's responsibility to have a set of plans approved by the
agency on the job site.
9: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the Cityof Tukwila
Permit Center.
10: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building
Department (206 - 431 - 3670).
11: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.

Expiration of Plan Review — Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation.
Building and Mechanical Permit

I've heard back from most of my Intellectual help" and there seems to be consensus ...that we by to do it as was
discussed yesterday, as follows:
• SKCDPH will not require formal plan submittal for each of the 65 McDonald's stores under going the
changes. Be advised though that some city building officials may require our plan approval before they give
theirs. They may ask for approved-stamped plans and/or an approval letter. Sometimes a quick phone call
or email may be enough for them. If they require a letter, then formal review would be required ...on a "cost
for service" basis ($165.13 per hour).
• SKCDPH will require that plans for each establishment be provided ...to update our files.
• SKCDPH will require a "Field Plan Review" inspection for each establishment This will most likely be done
by the individual inspectors assigned to an area (usually zip codes). It will need to occur before the
"beverage station" is activated and after the local plumbing officials have given their "final" signoff. (The
HEI will want to see this.) The cost for each inspection is $100.00. (Bulk payment for all 65 stores can
work.)
• I will provide you with the list of HEI's (Health & Environmental Investigator) and their phone number. They
may require up to a weeks notice for that appointment
• It is of utmost importance that the construction activity not interfere with safe food production.
Documentation will need to be provided outlining the construction protocol to prevent contamination of food
and food prep surfaces.
I think that covers it it may take some time to accumulate the inspector list ...hopefully I can get that to you next
week.
