Inspect and maintain this stabilization weekly and immediately before, during and following storms. 21: From May 1 through September 30, inspect and maintain temporary erosion prevention and sediment at least monthly. Exiting Conditions A site visit of the site was conducted on September 4, 2008. At the time of our visit the entire site had been topped with recycled brick and concrete, and fine graded. The site is very flat, with a majority of the site having a very slight gradient to the east. This work was related to the recently completed soil remediation effort to clean up the site. Formerly, the property was an auto wrecking and recycle business. The material below the recycled brick and concrete consists of sandy dredge material. During the 40 year period the site was used as an auto wrecking business, surface water was infiltrated into the permeable dredge soils. The elevation of the site is lower than the adjoining property to the north. The ground at the most southern corner to the west is also about two feet lower than the adjoining property. An eight to 12 inch high berm has been constructed along the south boundary adjoining tax parcel 0423049099. An existing Type I catch basin is located at the south east comer of tax parcel 0423049101. Inlet protection consisting of a filter fabric bag has been installed below the grate inlet. A swath of drain rock has been installed to the south and east from the catch basin. A Type II storm drain manhole is located at the south east corner of the site. This manhole is fitted with a solid round lid. A third catch basin is located off site to the south on tax parcel 0423049099. Risk Assessment The site lies near the Duwamish River, which is known to contain fish. Vehicular traffic should be restricted to prevent traversing the berm. Reconstitute or add to the berm as required to ensure that surface water is directed to the east for infiltration. • Install inlet protection on the exiting Type I catch basin located at the north end of tax parcel 0423049099. • A Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead should monitor the site during periods of sustained rainfall, and be prepared to make appropriate adjustments as necessary, to ensure that surface water is directed to designated control areas and ponded water is retained on site.
