CALL TO ORDER: Committee Chair Griffin called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m.

II. BUSINESS AGENDA
A. Solid Waste Rate Update
Staff reported that solid waste and recycling fees for commercial, multi-family and residential
subscribers in Tukwila will increase by 2.90% effective April I, 2008. According to this City's franchise
agreement with Allied Waste of Kent (the City's service provider), Allied can adjust rates annually based
on the Consumer Price Index.
Allied has notified residential, multi-family and commercial customers of the increase. The Committee
requested that the Solid Waste Rate Update be distributed to all Councilmembers. INFORMATION
ONLY.
B. 2007 4th Quarter Reports
The Committee reviewed the status of program goals as outlined III the 4th Quarter Report.
