Description of Incident
Press release, Case 13-5714
On August 12, 2013 at 10:51 hours, Tukwila police were dispatched to reports of a
possible abduction of a female where a suspect had a knife. The offender was known,
and the vehicle he was using was also known. The investigation produced leads as to
the possible direction the suspect was heading. A statewide broadcast was initiated by
the Tukwila Police Department.
At about 13:00 hours, a King County Sheriff’s Deputy observed the vehicle on Interstate
90 west of Snoqualmie Pass. The King County Sheriff’s Deputy, along with the
assistance of the Washington State Patrol, made contact with the vehicle and found
both the victim and offender. The victim was not harmed, and the offender was taken
into custody without incident.
After coordination with the King County Prosecutor’s Office, the offender was charged
with Attempted Murder Second Degree, Assault Second Degree, and Felony
Harassment, all domestic violence related.
No additional information will be released at this time, due to the ongoing investigation.
