S OUTHCENTER COMMUNITY BAPTIST CHURCH February 5th, 1997 Ted Freemire City of Tukwila 600 Minkler Blvd. Tukwila, WA. 98188 Dear Mr. Freernire, Greetings! I am writing in regard to the "lock" placed on the Southcenter Community Baptist Church property (14742 Macadam Road S.) due to a water meter problem. Neither I nor our board was fully aware that we needed to install a new water meter so that each building which has water would have its own meter. We are happy to comply with this code as it will benefit us in regard to our water /sewer costs. There is one snag in the timing of our compliance. Money is not the issue at the time (praise the Lord). However,wc are seeking approval of the installation of an accessibility lift in our main building and the "lock" on the property could keep this from happening in an expeditious manner. The lift has been necessitated by the merger of another congregation with us. They have a number of older folk who need the lift in order to have access to our second -story sanctuary. We would be happy to commit to a date of July 1, 1997 as a completion date for complying with the water meter code(s). Our desire would be for you to "un- lock" our property so that we might move ahead now with the installation of the lift as quickly as possible. I spoke with Pat Brodin and Richard Takechi when I was in the CD office to deliver my plans and permit application. Pat made a copy of our plot plan with the buildings on it and a couple of notes I made regarding the existing water lines. He said he would talk with the other officials and make a recommendation regarding what they thought would be the best way for us to comply with the water meter code(s). Thank -you for your consideration of these matters. Please call me at the number below if I can be of any further assistance. ex Gte v..David Lunsford, Past cc: Pat Brodin, Richard Takechi Pastor David J. Lunsford 14742 Macadam Rd. S.
