The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10B:C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10 3 -1.1) Maintain fire extinguisher coverage throughout. 2. If the fenced -in area is to be occuppied on a regular basis, the following exiting requirements shall apply. Gates and barriers shall be openable without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. Gates and barriers in an exit shall not be locked, chained, bolted, barred, latched or otherwise rendered unopenable at times when the building or area served by the exit is occupied.
