HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-03-20 Adjourned MinutesMarch 20, 1961 The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the mayor, Charles 0. Baker, at 8:00 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, E. W. Ives and R. K. Doyle. A request was received from Mr. Walter A. Cole of 16096 51st South appeoved by the Tukwila Planning Commission, to make an apartment in his home. Mr. Minkler moved to accept the recemmendation of the Planning Commission and grant Mr. Cole permission to make the apartment in his home, Sub he approval of the Building and Fire Inspectors, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mayor Baker asked the Council's pleasure regarding taking the Census this year. It was decided to ask Mr. Mrs. Wynn Anderson, if they are willing, to take the Census on a fee basis. There was some discussion as to the protection given to property owners for damage to property caused by Development contractors. Mayor Baker stated he had furnished the Town Attorney with letters and other data and he was checking into the matter. Mr. Burzenski, Project Engineer, proposed the relocating of Christianson Road and replacing it with a better road through Andover Industrial Park. Members of the Council had no objections to this change. It was suggested the Renton City Engineer be contacted to determine and agree on the Renton City boundary along the Green river. Mr. Minkler presented a request from John Ehrlichman, town attorney, that parolees in Tukwila, register with our Police Department. Mr. Minkler moved this be referred to Earle Parker, Police Chief, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mayor Baker asked Mr. Ives to work with Chief Parker on plans to secure licensing of dogs. Meeting recessed at 9 :25 to meet on March 29, at 8:00 P.M.
