HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0716 - Condemnation and Acquisition of Certain Property for Strander Boulevard Extension r ij to d 7 y M Ip p6 SF qr� k WASHINGTON Ordinance 716 ENO. 1 1/ AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION AND CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF TUKWILA FOR EXTENSION OF THE STRANDER BOULEVARD RIGHT OF WAY AND TO PROVIDE APPROACHES FOR A BRIDGE CROSSING THE GREEN RIVER AND PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD OF PAYMENT FOR SAID CONDEMNATION. The City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, do ordain as follows: Section 1. That public he1th, safety, necessity and convenience demand and the City Council so finds, that the City of Tukwila acquire the fee title and interest to the parcels of real property described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated as though fully set forth herein. Section 2. That such acquisition is hereby declared to be for a public use, for the development of Strander Boulevard and its extension across the Green River by means of a bridge and to provide for the construction of curbs, gutters and paving of the street and related work necessary to make a complete improvement in accordance with applicable city and state standards. The cost of such acquisition shall be paid from proceeds of a grant and loan from the State of Washington Department of Commerce. Section 3. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to prosecute the actions and proceedings necessary in the manner provided by law, to condemn, take, damage and appropriate the lands or other properties necessary to carry out the provisions of this ordinance.
