ORDINANCE NO. 707 <97
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 562
BY CHANGING THE TITLE OF THE OFFICE OF
CITY SUPERVISOR AND PRESCRIBING THE
DUTIES THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Tukwila, Washington, do
ordgh as follows:
That Sections 1, 2 and 3 of Ordinance No. 562 be amended
to read as follows:
Section 1. OFFICE CREATED: There is hereby created the
office of Director of Public Works in and for the City of Tukwila
which office shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor subject
to confirmation of the Council.
Section 2. DUTIES: Subject to the direction of the
Mayor, the Director of Public Works shall perform the following
duties:
1. He shall enforce the City building and related Codes
and City zoning, platting and sub division ordinances.
2. He shall have charge of construction, maintenance,
repair and cleaning of the streets, sidewalks, gutters, sewers
and drains, and such other related activities.
3. He shall exercise general supervision over the
municipal water and sewer systems.
4. He shall exercise general supervision over the
maintenance of the Municipal Parks.
Section 3. COMPENSATION: The Director of Public Works
shall receive such salary and in such amounts as the Council may,
from time to time, establish by ordinance and as fixed by the
City's annual budget.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
Washington, and approved by the Mayor at a regular meeting
thereof this 5th day of June, 1972.
