HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0706 - 1972 Budget Amendment - Establish Emergency Employment Fund 4 �4JILA 4 44„ CITY OF TUKWILA c R di /DO6 WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 706 fl[/(� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA ESTABLISHING AN "EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT FUND" IN PURSUANCE OF THE GRANT FROM THE EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 1971 (PUBLIC LAW 92 -54) AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ADMINISTER SAID GRANT AND TO FILL POSITIONS MADE AVAILABLE BY SUCH GRANT. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Pursuant to the provisions of the "Emergency Employment Act of 1971" (Public Law 92 -54) there is hereby created and established an "Emergency Employment Fund" in the City of Tukwila which said Fund is to receive and expend sums allocated by the United States Department of Labor pursuant to agreement entered into with the City of Tukwila. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay the necessary warrants in connection therewith. SECTION II. That the amount of $61.309.00 is anticipated to be the cost to carry out the employment under the "Emergency Employment Act of 1971" for the balance of calendar year 1972 as follows: FROM: Anticipated Revenue from Department of Labor for Establishment of "Emergency Employment Fund" $61,309.00 UNTO: Emergency Employment Fund Acct. 102/552.31.11 Salaries (Sec 5) $18,065.00 Personnel Benefits Acct. 102/552.31.13.1 Retirement 1,085.00 .4 Indust. Ins. 506.00 .5 FICA 943.00 .6 Medical 522.00 $21,121.00 Acct.102/552.32.11 Salaries (Sec 6) 34,720.00 Personnel Benefits Acct.102.552.32.13.1 Retirement 2,093.00 .4 Indust. Ins. 622.00 .5 FICA 1,808.00 .6 Medical 945.00 $40,188.00 and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to provide for such appropriation and transfers hereinabove set forth which appropriation and transfers are found to be in the public interest and for the public benefit. SECTION III. The Mayor is hereby authorized to fill such positions limited by the budgetary amounts, and subject to applicable Civil Service laws and regulations. The positions so filled shall be subject to the duration of the grant. Attached hereto is a list of positions to be so filled within the budgetary allocations which list is labeled Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as if fully set forth. SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval and five days after its publication, unless otherwise provided for hereinabove.
