by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and

This letter is to inform you that your permit application received at the City of Tukwila
Permit Center on January 14, 1998, was determined to be incomplete. Before your
permit application can begin the plan review process the following requirements from
the Building Division must be met.

1. Please see attached memorandum.
The City requires that four (4) complete sets of revised plans be resubmitted with the
appropriate revision block. If your revision does not required revised plans but
requires additional reports or other documentation please submit five (5) copies of
each document.
In order to better expedite your resubmittal a Revision Sheet must accompany every
resubmittal. I have enclosed one for your convenience. Revisions must be made in
person and will not be accepted through the mail or by a messenger service.

The submitted plans have been deemed incomplete by the Tukwila Building Division. Please
provide additional information, clarification, and/or correction on revised plans for the following
comments.
1. The site investigation by City staff noted that every other 2x4 stud of the interior baring walls !"
have been removed and relocated to the adjoining stud. As a result, only 30 inches of 2x4 top
plates remain to support the floor load above. One or a combination of the following corrections
must be shown on the plans.
a) Re-install new 2x4 studs in the location were stud have been removed.
b) Install appropriate sized header beams with supporting king or cripple studs.
c) A Structural Engineered stamped design and calculation to support the subject openings.
2. It is assumed the upper floor of the subject building is a residential apartment, therefor a 1-
hour occupancy separation is required from the commercial use below. Clarify the occupancy use
of the second floor. If in fact the upper floor is an residential use, the proposed replacement of
ceiling panels must be of 1 hour materials and be shown on the plans. Additionally the Walls
supporting the 1 hour ceiling separation must also be protected with 1 hour as required by U.B.C.
Section 302.2.
3. On the floor plan, label each room or area for the proposed occupancy use such as retail,
storage, office, retail, etc.

Conditions and Stipulations
The term "mortgage, when used herein, shall include deed of trust, trust deed, or other security instrument;
If the proposed Insured has or acquires actual knowledge of any defect, lien, encumbrance, adverse claim or other
matter affecting the estate or interest or mortgage thereon covered by this Commitment other than those shown
in Schedule B hereof, and shall fait to disclose such knowledge to the Company in writing, the Company shall be .
relieved from liability for any loss or damage resulting from any act of reliance hereon to the extent the Company
is prejudiced by failure to so disclose such knowledge. If the proposed Insured shall disclose such knowledge to
the Company, or if the Company otherwise acquires actual knowledge of any such defect, lien, encumbrance,
adverse claim or other matter, the Company at its option may amend Schedule B of this Commitment accordingly,
but such amendment shall not relieve the Company from liability previously incurred pursuant to paragraph 3 of
these Conditions and Stipulations.
Liability of the Company under this Commitment shall be only to the named proposed Insured and such parties .
included under the definition of Insured in the form of policy or policies committed for and only for actual loss
incurred in reliance hereon in undertaking in good faith (a) to comply with the requirements hereof, or (b) to
eliminate exceptions shown in Schedule B, or (c) to acquire or create the estate of interest or mortgage thereon
covered by this Commitment. In no event shall such liability exceed the amount stated in Schedule A for the
policy or policies committed for and such liability is subject to the Insuring provisions, exclusion from coverage,
and the Conditions and Stipulations of the form of policy or policies committed for in favor of the proposed
Insured which are hereby incorporated by reference and are made a part of this Commitment except as expressly
modified herein.
4. Any claim of loss or damage, whether or not based on negligence, and which arises out of the status of the title
to the estate or interest or the lien of the insured mortgage covered hereby or any action asserting such claim,
shall be restricted to the provisions and conditions and stipulations of this Commitment.
