The drawings should clarify this information. 11. Roof -top mechanical equipment loads need to be considered in the design of the roof framing members. See shaded area on the Roof Framing Plan, Sheet 52.10, Lateral 12. An R factor of 6 is appropriate for the design of this structure per UBC Table 16 -H. The Structural Notes reference an R factor of 8 and need to be revised accordingly; the calculations have used the appropriate value. 13. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10B:C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10, 3 -1.1) Portable fire extinguishers shall be securely installed on the hanger or in the bracket supplied, placed in cabinets or wall recesses.
