The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the mayor, Charles G. baker, at 8 :00 P.M. Councilmen
present were Stan Minkler, E. W. Ives and Jerry Hamilton.
A Quit Claim deed to the Town of Tukwila from Melvin and
Ernestine Hunter for rebuilding a street was examined by the Council.
Mr. Minkler moved Council hold in abeyance the acceptance of this
deed until the street in question, at So. 162nd and 53rd So., is
completed to the satidfaction of Mr. Zepp, street Superintendent,
seconded by Mr. hamilton and carried.
Mr. Hamilton read a request for permission to open a restaurant
at 14025 Interurban Ave. So. Council granted permission subject *o
the approval of the health Dept. and building Inspector.
Mayor Baker read a letter from Mr. Thomas Q. Robertson objecting
to the location of a proposed water main along the north side of So. 1
154th Street to be paid for by frontage assessments. He requested 1
his letter be made a part of the record. This letter will be found
as a part of these minutes.

Ordinance No. 317, relating to local improvements and Special
assessments, was, by motion of Mr. Ives, placed on its first reading,
seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Hamilton moved Ordinance
No. 317, be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Ives and
carried. Mr. Ives moved Ord. No. 317 be pieced on its third reading
and final passage, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried.
Mr. Hamilton moved Ord. No. 318, providibg for the guarantee of
local improvement bonds and warrants, be placed on its first reading,
seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried. Mr. Hamilton moved Ord. No. 318
be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried.
Mr. Hamilton moved Ord. No. 318 be palced on its third reading and final
passage, seconded by Mr. Ives and carried.
Mr. Howard Harstad of Harstad Associates, Engineers,and Mr. Everett
Druggee, Engineer, who are consulting engineers for the Town of
Tukwila, presented ab estimate of costs and expense of proposed
enlarged local improvement didtrict for expansion of the water
distribution system.
Mr. Hamilton moved Ord. No. 319, relating to the expansion of
the town water system and establishing L. I. D. No. 2, be placed on
its first reading, seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried. Mr. Ives
moved Ord. No. 319 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr.
Hamilton and carried. Mr. Ives moved Ord; No. 319 be placed on its
third reading and final passage, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried.
Mr. Minkler moved that Harstad Associates be authorized to proceed
in carrying out the provisions of Ord. No. 319, seconded by Mr. Ives 1
and carried.
Mr. Hamilton moved that Harstad Associated be authorized to
submit the preliminary engineering report "Comprehensive Sewage Plan"
to the State Health Department and the State Pollution Control
Commission, seconded by MIr. Ives and carried.
By motion meeting adjourned at 10 :05 P.M.
