The proposed single family residences on 44th Place South near the intersection of 46th Ave. South is in the 100 year flood plain. A minimum finished floor elevation of 113.08 ft. will put the structures 1 ft. above the flood plain, thereby, conforming to city criteria. The rim elevation of SSMH #1428-2 can be used as a temporary benchmark to establish the minimum floor elevation on site for the proposed structures. Copies of the FEMA map and city sewer drawings are enclosed for your information and use. The city also requires compensating storage for the increased storm run-off resulting from the new construction. I have calculated that volume to be 388 cf. This can be accomplished by benching the front yards 1 ft deep, as shown on the calculation sheets.
