He said they had received proper approvals for the septic system from King Co. Health Dept. and will be submitting the building application shortly. I tried to explain our role in the process of installing a manufactured structure and that one of our concerns was that they might not have the required setbacks from property lines needed for the type of construction of the manufactured structure, i.e., maybe they need a one hour rated wall on the structure. Based on what he told me it sounds like there shouldn't be a problem, but we won't know until we see a site plan showing property lines. Mr. Roach explained that he had been out of town because of some special tests his wife had for cancer and then they had been on vacation. He said he had talked to some people before leaving to get this issue resolved but not much had happened while he was gone. He said this lease to the Pacific Rim Transport company is a big part of his livelihood and has a lot of fine print about what he has to provide them, so he is real anxious to get everything resolved. He thinks they have a bunch of paperwork from the State L &I inspector approving the structure. The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10B:C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10, 3 -1.1) Portable fire extinguishers shall be securely installed on the hanger or in the bracket supplied, placed in cabinets or wall recesses. The hanger or bracket shall be securely and properly anchored to the mounting surface in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The extinguisher shall be installed so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 feet above the floor and the clearance between the bottom of the extinguisher and the floor shall not be less than 4 inches.
