ORDINANCE NO. 678 7 9
AN ORDINANCE repealing certain Sections of
16.04 of the Tukwila Municipal Code; amending
certain sections of 16.04 of the Tukwila Muni-
cipal Code; and adopting by reference the
Uniform Building Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
The Tukwila Municipal Code is hereby amended and
repealed as follows:
Section 16.04.010 is amended in its entirety as
follows:
16.04.010. Buildinct Code Adopted. Certain documents,
three copies of which are on file in the Office of the City Clerk
for use and examination by the public, being marked and designated
as "Uniform Building Code, Vol. 1, 1970 Edition together with Append-
ices 13, 23, 49 and 70 and standards therewith; and Uniform Building
Code, Vol. 2 Mechanical, 1970 Edition and Standards therewith, and
Uniform Building Code, Vol. 3 Housing Code and Standards therewith,
1970 Edition, Vol. 4 Dangerous Buildings and Standards therewith,
1970 Edition are adopted as the Building Code of the City for
regulating the erection, construction, and license, alteration,
repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equip-
ment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings and /or
structures in the City; providing for issuance of permits and
collection of fees therefor; providing penalties for violation
of such code; declaring and establishing fire zones; and each and
all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such
Uniform Building Code, Vol. 1, 2,x'3 and 4; "19.70 Edition, together with

standards set forth and appendices 13, 23, 49 and 70, all of which
are on file in the Office of the City Clerk, are hereby referred to,
adopted and made a part hereof as though fully set forth in this
Chapter.
There is added to Section 16.04 of the Tukwila
Municipal Code the following new sections.
16.04.070. Fire Zones. The map attached hereto and
described in the 1970 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, Sec-
tion 16, is hereby adopted as the Fire Zones of Tukwila.
16.04.080. In the event any volume adopted herein
should conflict then the most stringent of the conflicting volumes
shall prevail and be in full force and effect.
