MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS MANUAL VII MAPS, PLANS AND DETAIL DRAWINGS VIII CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS APPENDIX SBUH calculations. / : IL PRELIMINARY CONDITIONS SUMMARY EXISTING DRAINAGE CONDITIONS The subject pmperty's vegetation is an existing lawn. Pre- developed site conditions and drainage calculation are attached in Appendix A. No concentrated surface water enters the site from up lands: Surface water exits the northern and eastern property boundaries. PROPOSED DRAINAGE CONDITIONS The existing drainage pattern on the property will not be altered by the proposed development. The surface water runoff from the roofs and driveway will be directed to the storm drain system and dispersed/infiltrated in a Flow Dispersal Trench. SOILS Several soil log test holes were dug on the site Soils on the site were generally uniformly' stratified with 36 inch depth of loose sandy topsoil underlain with dense sand & gravel with fines to depths of 8 feet. The soils on the site were determined to be Alderwood series soils.. M. RETENTION/DETENTION ANALYSIS AND DESIGN HYDROLOGIC ANALYSIS The storm water runoff was determine using the. SBUH for the existing and proposed developed conditions. The calculations are given within the Appendix and are summarized at the end of this section: RETENTION/DETENTION SYSTEM The pre - developed runoff from a 100 year storm is calculated as 0.28 cfs. The post - developed runoff from a 100 year storm is calculated as 0.43 cfs. The increase in runoff that will occur due to the proposed site development was .calculated to be 0.15 cfs. Since this is below the threshold limit of 0.50 cfs per the King County Drainage. Manual, no detention is required. The 100 year runoff is proposed to be directed into a Flow Dispersal Trench to provide some infiltration and dispersion as sheet flow. IV. CONVEYANCE SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN The conveyance systems consists of a 12 inch PVC pipe sloping 3:57% between CB#1 and and roof downspout drains with 4 inch PVC piping sloping 2.0% min. The 100 year flow leaving the site was calculated at 0.43 cfs. The 12 inch PVC pipe was analyzed using Manninggs equation and found to be adequate. CB#2 V. EROSION /SEDIMENTATION CONTROL DESIGN Clearing for this project is limited to the area required to construct the proposed residence, garage, driveway improvements and yard area around the house. Protection of downslope areas will be provided by silt fencing. Silt fencing will be provided for all downstream property boundaries as necessary. Additionally, the amount of grading on the site will be minimized to limit the potential sediment volume. Sediment volume calculations do not appear warranted for this project. MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS MANUAL Maintenance and operation of all temporary and permanent drainage facilities (erosion/sedimentation control facilities, gravel infiltration trenches, roof downspout and footing drains, swales, et) will be the sole responsibility of the homeowner.
