HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-04-10 Adjourned MinutesApril 10, 1961 The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the Mayor, Charles 0. Baker, at 8 :00 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan minkler, A. G. Radford, E. W. Ives, R. K. Doyle and Jerry Hamilton. Mr. Drugge, with harstad Associates was also preseht. Mayor Baker reported the census for 1961 had been completed, and expressed appreciation to Mr. Mrs. Wynn Anderson who had again conducted the census. The population of Tukwila is now 1974. Resolution No. 134, rescinding Res. No. 133 was adopted by motion of Mr. Doyle, seconded by E. W. Ives and carried. April 10, 1961(continued) Ordinance 320, pertaining to s. Setter L.I.D., was by motion of Mr. Doyle placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. gr. Hamilton moved Ord. 320 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Ordinance 321, also pertaining to a SegeLD., was by motion of Mr. Doyle placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Hamilton moved Ord. 321 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mr. C. V. Fawcett, representing McLean Company, Investment Securities, presented a contract in which the town would retain McLean Company to make a financial study to determihe feasibility of the proposed Water Sewer projects and to assist in financing same. Mr. Hamilton moved the Council accept the contract presented by McLean Company and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign same, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Members of the_ Council reported an inspection of the work at the Quarry and agree that Mr. liardy had been blasting without a permit H and was endangering lives and property by so doing. Mr. Hamilton moved Mr. Hardy be refused permission to continue operation at the Quarry site, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. By motion meeting recessed at 10 :10 to meet on April 19, 1961, at 8 :00 P.M.
