Any variations from the drawings shall be brought to the attention of the Designer or Engineer. 2. Adequate shoring and bracing of all structural members during construction shall be provided. Any proposed field changes to have the prior approval of Engineer. FRAMING NOTES FRI. Frame nailing to be in compliance with ABC Table No. 23 -fl -B -I . FR2. All wood exposed to weather, such as wood used for deck framing, including decking, railings joists, beams and posts shall be pressure treated of wood with natural resistance to decay. FR3. When decks, landings or porches are more than 30 in. above grade, provide guardrails not less than 36 in high FR4. All attic spaces with 30 in. or more vertical height shall be provided with an access opening 22 in, by 30 in. The opening shall be located in a condor, hallway a other readily accessible location and have at least 30-in. headroom per UBC Sec. 1505.1. Intermediate rails of the stairway guardrails shall be spaced so that a 4 -inch diameter cannot pass through, per UBC Sec. 509.3. HEATING SYSTEMS HI. All furnaces shall be labeled and listed by an approved agency and installed per listed specifications. H2. No warm air furnaces shall be installed in a closet or alcove less than 12 inches wider than the furnace or furnaces installed therein with a minimum clear waking space not less than 3 inches along the sides, back. and top. H3. Appliances installed in garages or other areas where they nay be subjected to vehicular damage shall be suitably guarded against such damage by being installed behind protective barriers or by being elevated or located out of the normal path of such vehicles. 144. Every factory built chimney, Type L vent. Type B gas vent or Type BW gas vent shall be installed in accordance with the terms of its listing and manufacturers instructions. H5.
