Metro: Non - Residential Sewer Use Certification if there is a change in the amount of plumbing fixtures
(Form H -13). Business Declaration required (Form H -10).
Four (4) sets of working drawings (five(5) sets for structural work), which include :
Site Plan (including existing fire hydrant location(s)
1. North arrow and scale
2. Property lines, dimensions, setbacks, names of adjacent roads, any proposed or existing easements
3. Parking Analysis of existing and proposed capacity; proposed stalls with dimensions
4. Location of driveways, parking, loading & service areas
5. Recycle collection location and area calculations (change of use only)
6. Location and screening of outdoor storage (change of use only)
7. Limits of clearing /grading with existing and proposed topography at 2' intervals extending 5' beyond property's
boundaries
8. Identify location of sensitive area slopes 20% or greater, wetlands, watercourses and their buffers (change of
use only)
9. Identify location and size of existing trees that are located in sensitive areas and buffer (TMC 18.45.040), of
those, identify by size and species which are to be removed and saved
10. Landscape plan with irrigation and existing trees to be saved by size and species (exterior changes or change
of use only)
11. Location and gross floor area of existing structure with dimensions and setback
12. Lowest finished floor elevation (if in flood control zone)
13. See Public Works Checklist for detailed civil /site plan information required for Public Works Review (Form H-

❑ Sprinkler details - details of sprinkler hangers, specifically penetrations in structure, i.e., roof; size of
water supply to sprinkler vault with documentation from contractor stating supply line will meet or

❑ Washington State Non - Residential Energy Code Data shall be noted on the construction drawings.
❑ SEPA Checklist - if intensification of use (check with Planning Department for thresholds).
❑ Attach plans, reports or other documentation required to comply with Sensitive Area Ordinance or other
land use or SEPA decisions.
❑ Food service establishments require two (2) sets of stamped approved plans by the Seattle -King County
Department of Public Health prior to submitting for building permit application. The Department of
Public Health is located at 201 Smith Tower, Seattle, WA or call (206) 296 -4787. (Form H -5)
❑ Copy of Washington State Department of Labor and Industries Valid Contractor's License. If no
contractor has been selected at time of application a copy of this license will be required before the
permit is issued OR submit Form H -4, "Affidavit in Lieu of Contractor Registration ".
Building Owner /Authorized Agent If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed
by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the properly owner authorizing the agent to submit thls permit application and
obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal

ALUMINUM DOORS, FRAMES AND GLAZING SYSTEMS
B. Samples: Submit samples of metal members for aluminum doors and frame sections;
full size by 24" length showing profiles and finishes. Include one set of color chips
represented specified color and finishes.
C. Product Data: Submit manufacturers' published literature for specified products and
accessories as applicable, including manufacturers' specifications, physical
characteristics and performance data. Submit as a supplement, manufacturers'
instructions and directions for application if not included in manufacturers' published
literature.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 Materials
A. Aluminum: Extruded shapes shall be 6063 -T5 or T5 alloy and temper; sizes and
shapes as indicated; 1/8" minimum wall thickness. Trim, beads and stops shall be .050
minimum. Cut corners square and fasten with extruded corners brackets and stainless
steel screws. Black anodic coating; AA- M12C22A34 Class II mechanical finish, non-
specular as fabricated, with medium -matte etch and minimum thichness 0.4 mil.

2.05 Fabrication
A. Fabricate doors and window frames systems with extruded section stiles and rails with
corners rigidly joined and welded; make provisions for other hardware to template.
B. Workmanship: Free from mars and buckles; angles clean, sharp and true with all
joints precision fitted. Make connections with concealed fastenings wherever possible.
Fabricate all work with allowance for expansion and contraction; assemble to be
permanently watertight.
C. Fit and assemble component parts in the shop insofar as practicable; fit, assemble,
mark, and disassemble work that cannot be permanently assembled in the shop to
assure proper fitting in the field; mark assembled components to correspond with shop
drawings for placement location and erection on the site.
D. Form all exposed exterior joints with concealed fastenings; miter exposed perimeter
corner joints and butt other exposed exterior joints. Form all exterior joints to hairline
machine accuracy; seal from back permanently water and weatherproof, unless
otherwise approved; match adjoining surfaces for continuity of line, profile, and finish;
all surfaces flush.

E. Provide rigid reinforcement at all corners and joints on interior of frames; make
connections to inside of frames with spot welding or concealed mechanical fastening.
F. Fabricate frames for accurate fit. Fabricate framing members to allow no more than
plus or minus 1/16" tolerance in variation from indicated width at sealed joints with
building construction.
G. Fabricate components to allow for thermal expansion and contraction and to maintain
watertight integrity of system; design for noiseless movement that may be caused by
120 - degree ambient temperature and its resulting surface temperature; fabricate so as to
prevent buckling, opening of joints, failure of seals, undue stress on fasteners and
anchorages, or other detrimental effects.
H. Protection of Aluminum: Apply zinc - chromate primer to contact surfaces of aluminum
in contact with wood, concrete or masonry. Provide 2 heavy coats of zinc - chromate
primer to contact surfaces of aluminum in contact with dissimilar metals; 1 coat may be
applied to each surface at Contractor's option; paint is in addition to shop coat on steel;
where isolating or gasketing tape is indicated, or where factory applied coating is
applied on aluminum, primer may be omitted.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 Installation
A. After removal of existng glazing system at clerk counter and basic carpentry
preparation , erect members where indicated with all members level, square, plumb, at
proper elevations as indicated and in true alignment with other construction; rigidly
attached to structural elements of the building; install hardware to template as indicated
as required for satisfactory operation.
B. Install glass per FMGA Manual, Chapters VIII and IX.
C. Provide all necessary electrical equiptment and basic materials (wire, conduit, boxes,
switches etc for a complete, safe, installation per NEC. Connect to exisitng emergency
lighting circuits.
3.02 Cleaning and protection.
Upon completion, clean all surfaces free from dirt, stains, or other defacing marks and
materials; leave all exposed surfaces free from scratches, dents, and other defects, free
from soil, and polished.

windows, issued on September 3, 1999, has not received a final inspection by the City of Tukwila
Building Division as of the date of this letter.
Per the Uniform Building Code and /or Uniform Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the
building official under the provision of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and
• void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 days from
the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or
abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, if the final inspection is not called for within ten (10) business days from the
date of this letter, the Permit Center will close your file and the work completed to date will be
considered non - complying and not in conformance with the Uniform Building Code and /or

The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by
The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
1. Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without
the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. Exit
doors shall not be locked, chained, bolted, barred, latched
or otherwise rendered unusable. All locking devices shall
be of an approved type. (UFC 1207.3)
Exit doors shall swing in the direction of exit travel
when serving any hazardous area or when serving an
occupant load of 50 or more. (UBC 1003.3.1.5)
Exit hardware and marking shall meet the requirements
of the Uniform Fire Code. (UFC 1207 -1212)
Any overlooked hazardous condition and /or violation of the
adopted Fire or Building Codes does not imply approval of
such condition or violation.
