AMENDED BY: REPEALED BY: 691 §1 4� y b' Iw 1 006 CITY of TUK WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 657 4;PS AN ORDINANCE fixing the salaries and compensations of officials and employees of the City of Tukwila, and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the salaries and compensations of the various officers and employees of the City of Tukwila are hereby set and fixed as follows for the year 1971. Treasurer $8,500.00 per year Clerk $6,600.00 Minimum Per Year $9,600.00 Maximum Per Year Utility Accounting Supervisor 6,000.00 Minimum Per Year 8,000.00 Maximum Per Year Secretary $2.75 per Hour not to exceed 6,000.00 Maximum Per Year Billing Clerk 2.75 per Hour not to exceed 5,000.00 Maximum Per Year City Supervisor 12,480.00 Per Year Assistant Supervisor 12,000.00 Per Year Foreman 11,068.00 Per Year Leadman 9,822.00 Maintenance Man I 9,588.00 Maintenance Man II 8,625.00 Maintenance Man III 8,280.00 Mechanic 10,088.00 POLICE Police Chief 12,480.00 Sargeant 11,520.00 Patrolman I 10,836.00 Patrolman II 9,900.00 Patrolman III 9,180.00 Probationary Patrolman 735.00 Per Month Chief Clerk Clerk I Clerk II Clerk III Probationary Clerk FIRE DEPARTMENT Fire Chief Fire Marshall Fire Lieutenant Fire Fighter II Fire Fighter III Probationary Fire Fighter -2- 7,500.00 Per Year 6,300.00 6,000.00 5,700.00 450.00 Per Month 12,480.00 Per Year 10,500.00 9,750.00 9,300.00 9,000.00 700.00 Per Month Extra Labor shall be on a sliding scale from $2.25 to $2.75 per hour for clerical work; $25.00 per shift for Patrolman; $3.00 per hour for labor on parks, utilities and public works. Section 2. Where per year salaries or compensation are stated they shall be prorated on the basis of 12 calendar months. Section 3. That salaries set forth with a minimum and maximum shall be determined by Department Heads depending on exper- ience and ability. Section 4. Probationary Patrolman, Clerk and Fire- fighter are those whose continuous employment with the City is between 0 and 6 months. Patrolman III and Clerk III, and Fire Fighter III are those whose continuous employment with the City is between 6 months and 18 months. Patrolman II, Clerk II and Fire Fighter II are those whose continuous employment with the City is between 18 months and 30 months. Patrolman I and Clerk I are those whose continuous employment with the City exceeds 30 months. Section 5. Longevity. In addition to the salaries set forth above there shall be an additional sum paid on the basis of longevity as follows. After five years of continuous full time employment with the City, the eligible employee shall receive an additional $5.00 per month ($60.00 per year). For each additional year of continuous full time employment the sum of $5.00 per month. Section 6. Detectives. Any Police Officer performing detective functions as assigned by the Chief of Police shall receive an additional $25.00 per month when performing those duties. Section 7. Clothing allowance. Uniformed police officers other than those on probationary status shall receive in addition to the salaries set forth above, an annual clothing allowance of $200.00. Uniformed fire officers other than those on probationary status shall receive in addition to the salaries set forth above, an annual clothing allowance of $150.00. Section 8. Medical Coverage Premiums provided for by City Ordinance shall be in addition to the salaries set forth above. Section 9. All ordinances or parts of Ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 10. This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR, this 21st day of December, 1970.
