AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 632
O of the City of Tukwila, establishing Local
Improvement District No. 17 to delete that
portion referring to joint participation by
the City of Renton.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 632 of the City of Tukwila, Wash-
ington provided that the City of Renton would participate in the
construction of sanitary sewer laterals and trunks at a depth
sufficient to serve not only Tukwila properties but also certain
properties situate in the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, it was contemplated that the City of Renton would
pay the additional cost resulting from the construction of the
system at a depth sufficient to serve not only Tukwila properties
but also Renton properties, and
WHEREAS, The City of Renton has indicated it does not now
intend to pay for that portion of the cost necessitated by in-
creasing the size of the pipe and installing the same at a greater
depth than necessary to serve the Tukwila area only;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 632 of the City of Tukwila is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 3. The estimated cost and expense of said improve-
ment is hereby declared to be $109,000.00. Included in the cost of
this improvement shall be (1) the improvement of the sewer system
as mentioned above, (2) all professional services necessary for

the improvement, (3) ascertaining the ownership of lots or parcels
of land included, (4) appraisals, (5) assessment roll, (6) all
legal work and opinions incidental thereto, (7) advertising, mailing,
posting, and publishing all necessary notices, (8) accounting, clerical
labor and books and blanks extended or used on the part of the city
Clerk or Treasurer in connection with the improvement, (9) all cost
of acquisition of rights of way, property, easement or other fac
so
ilities or rights, whether by eminent domain, purchase, gift or in
any other manner, and all other expenses incidental thereto as
required or provided by the State of Washington or ordinances of the
City of Tukwila. The entire cost and expense. of said improvement
shall be borne by and levied and assessed against all of'the property
specially benefited by such improvement included in the Local Improve-
ment District herein established, embracing as near as may be, all
property specially benefited by such improvement.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 632, Section 5, of the City of
Tukwila is hereby repealed.
