HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0642 - Metered Water Rates (Repealed by Ord 1190)CITY OF TUKWILA REPEALED BY 1190 AMENDED BY 914 Size of Service WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO 642 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Tukwila, Wash- ington, amending Tukwila Municipal Code 14.04.240 and 14.04.260 regarding rates for metered water. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 14.04.240 Tukwila Municipal Code (Ord. 326, Sec. 1, Part) 1961: Ord. 264, Sec. 24 (a), 1958, is hereby amended to read as follows: 14.04.240 Rates for Metered Water. The rates for metered water, supplied within the City, in one month or fractional part thereof, shall be in accordance with the following schedule: Quantity Allowed Minimum Charae 3/4 inch 700 cubic feet or less 4.00 1 inch 700 cubic feet or less 6.00 1 1/2 inch 700 cubic feet or less 9.50 2 inch 700 cubic feet or less 13.00 3 inch 700 cubic feet or less 25.00 4 inch 700 cubic feet or less 35.00 6 inch 700 cubic feet or less 62.00 8 inch 700 cubic feet or less 100.00 For each 100 cubic feet in excess of the 700 cubic feet allowed for the above minimum charges, the rate shall be twenty -five cents per 100 cubic feet. The rates due for water on the 3/4 inch meter or less are to be subject to a discount of twenty -five cents if paid on or before the 10th day of the month in which they are payable. Section 2. Chapter 14.04.260, Tukwila Municipal Code (Ord. 326 @2, 1961: Ord. 264 525, 1958), is hereby amended to read as follows: The rates for water supplied to consumers not within the City Limits shall be as follows: The same rate schedule as provided in Section 14.04.240 and 14.04.250 shall apply except for all water in excess of the minimum quantities allowed, twenty -five cents per 100 cubic feet shall be charged. The above rates to consumers outside the City Limits are subject to the same discount as the rates to consumers inside the City Limits; provided, that nothing in this section shall prevent the City Council from fixing other and different rates for the sale of water to Water Districts; provided, that all meters for measuring water to outside consumers shall be installed within the City Limits or within the limits of ease- ments, franchises, or rights of way belonging to the City. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective as of October 1, 1970.
