Crawley, Fire Chief <br />SUBJECT: Amendments to Interlocal Agreement <br />Cities Insurance Authority <br />DATE: March 14, 1985 <br />Attached you will find: <br />of Puget Sound <br />1. Recommended resolution for adopting amendments <br />to "Agreement <br />2. Highlights of the "Agreement" indicating the exact <br />changes in the wording. <br />The changes are necessary in order to provide more flexibility for <br />the Authority to operate. The recommended changes are for; <br />1. Article 1 (h) changes name of Insurance Manager <br />to Executive Director. <br />2. Article 2 gives the Authority approval to look <br />at other forms of insurance other than liability <br />once allowed by changes in the RCW's and, <br />allows the Authority to provide service, such as <br />loss control, to non member cities for a fee. <br />3. Article 7 (a) allows for the City to have an <br />appointing official to select the City's represent- <br />ation to the Board of Directors of the Authority. <br />4. Article 8 (j), (k) changes name of Insurance Manager <br />to Executive Director. <br />(1) Provide maximum flexibility to handle contracts <br />by the Authority. <br />5. Article 10 allows for Executive Committee of the <br />Board to be established anytime during the year, <br />rather than just once a year. <br />6. Article 11 (b) changes name of Insurance Manager <br />to Executive Director. <br />7.
