City <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />Between <br />ICING COUNTY and the CITY OF T'UKWILA <br />A 14a c l., <br />*7 3 <br />CONTRACT D 25760 D <br />This Interlocal Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement) is executed between King County, a <br />political subdivision of the State of Washington, and the City of Tukwila, a municipal corporation of the <br />State of Washington, hereinafter referred to as "County" and "City" respectively. <br />This Agreement has been authorized by the legislative body of each party as designated below: <br />King County Motion No. 8857 <br />PREAMBLE <br />King County and the City of Tukwila have adopted the King County Comprehensive Solid Waste <br />Management Plan which includes waste reduction goals. In order to help meet these goals, the King County <br />Solid Waste Division has established the City Optional Program. The City Optional Program funds projects <br />that enable citizens to recycle materials not included in curbside collection programs and provides funds for <br />cities to establish and maintain Business Recycling Programs and services. The City will spend its grant <br />funds to fulfill the terms and conditions set forth in the scopes of work which are attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and Exhibit B, and incorporated herein by reference. <br />L PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to define the terms and conditions for funding to be provided to the City <br />of Tukwila from the County for the operation of Special Recycling Events and for the operation of a <br />Business Recycling Program. <br />11 RESPONSIBILITIES OF 'Tit: PARTIES <br />The responsibilities of the parties to this Agreement shall be as follows: <br />A. The City <br />General Provisions <br />1. The City shall comply with the Minority and Women's Business utilization provisions of King County <br />Code Chapter 4.18, and amendments thereto, attached to the City's copy of the Agreement as <br />Exhibit C and incorporated herein by reference to the other two copies of this Agreement. <br />1 <br />
