7 DURATION/TERMINATION <br />8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION <br />6 2 The Cities may furnish an inspector at the Cities' expense to insure proper <br />compliance with requirements during the construction of the Project. The Cities' <br />inspectors shall advise the County of any deficiencies noted. The Cities' inspectors <br />shall not communicate directly with or instruct the contractor directly on any matters <br />regarding contract performance <br />6 3 The County will at all times keep the Cities advised as to the progress of the Project <br />and shall not order or approve any changes in the approved project design which <br />substantially change the nature of the portion of the Project within the Cities, or its <br />basic design, unless the County first obtains the wntten approval of such changes <br />from the affected City <br />7 1 This Agreement shall remain in effect until final acceptance of the Project and <br />payment by Renton of all monies due from Renton to the County or, if Renton so <br />elects, construction of the Renton Project, and construction of the Tukwila <br />Project, subject to the early termination provisions in Section 7.2 and 7 3 <br />7 2 If expected or actual funding from sources other than the Cities and the County is <br />withdrawn, reduced or limited in any way pnor to the completion of the Project, <br />any Party may, with thirty (30) days written notice to the other Parties, terminate <br />this Agreement. <br />7 3 In the event of termination prior to completion of the Project. <br />1) All direct and indirect phasing -out costs shall be paid by the Party requesting <br />teiuiination <br />2) Termination costs payable shall not exceed the actual costs incurred as a result of <br />termination of the Project. <br />3) The other Parties shall be released from any further obligations under the <br />Agreement. <br />In the event of a dispute between the Parties regarding this Agreement, the Parties shall <br />attempt to resolve the matter informally If the Parties are unable to resolve the matter <br />informally within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be decided by the Director of the King <br />County Road Services Division. <br />5 <br />
