INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR ELECTRICAL INSPECTION SERVICES <br />Between the City of SeaTac and the City of Tukwila <br />This agreement is entered into pursuant to Chapter 39 34 RCW between the City of <br />Tukwila, Washington (hereafter referred to as the "City of Tukwila and the City of <br />SeaTac, Washington (hereafter referred to as the "City of SeaTac to describe the terms <br />and conditions under which the City of SeaTac will provide electrical plan review, <br />inspection, and enforcement on behalf of the City of Tukwila. <br />WHEREAS, the City of SeaTac employs Electncal inspectors qualified pursuant to RCW <br />19 28 010 (3) who perform electncal plan review, field inspection, and customer service <br />related to the issuance of electrical permits, inspection of electncal installation and <br />construction, and investigation and enforcement of electncal code violations, and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Tukwila desires to obtain the aforesaid services from the City of <br />SeaTac to provide Electncal plan Review and Inspection services within the Tukwila <br />City limits, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of SeaTac is willing to provide such services pursuant to this <br />Interlocal Agreement on the basis that all regular fees will be paid to the City of SeaTac <br />by the City of Tukwila on a monthly basis in accordance with Appendix "A" <br />WHEREAS, the City of SeaTac will provide the services of its Electncal Inspectors who <br />will remain employees of the City of SeaTac for all purposes. <br />IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL PROMISES CONTAINED HEREIN, the <br />parties agree as follows <br />1 Responsibilities of the Citv of Tukwila. The City of Tukwila will have the <br />following responsibilities under this Interlocal Agreement: <br />(a) Monitor the plan review services, the electrical field inspection services, and turn- <br />around -time for the same and coordinate with electrical contractors and the City <br />of SeaTac on an as- needed basis to assure that adequate service levels are <br />maintained. <br />(b) Review bi- monthly field inspection reports provided to the City of Tukwila by the <br />City of SeaTac <br />(c) The City of Tukwila Building Inspectors will work and coordinate with the City <br />of SeaTac's Electncal Inspector to provide the highest possible level of service <br />throughout the City of Tukwila. <br />(d) In the event of an appeal of any administrative decision of the City of SeaTac's <br />Building Official or Electrical Inspectors, such appeals will be heard by the City <br />1 <br />
