CITY OF TUKWILA <br /> REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) <br /> Solid Waste, Recycling, and Yard Waste /Organics Collection Professional Services <br /> Due Wednesday, February 23, 2011 by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) <br /> The City of Tukwila ("City') is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified <br /> consultants who are interested in being considered to perform level of service and rate analysis, <br /> and other professional services related to solid waste and recycling management for the City. <br /> Questions regarding this RFQ or the submittal process should be directed via electronic <br /> communications to Frank Iriarte, Deputy Public Works Director at firiarteCaci.tukwila.wa.us. <br /> Responses to the RFQ must be mailed or hand delivered to: <br /> Frank Iriarte <br /> City of Tukwila Public Works Department <br /> 6300 Southcenter Boulevard <br /> Tukwila, Washington 98188 <br /> Responses whether mailed or hand delivered must arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. on February <br /> 23, 2011, PST. No submittals will be accepted after that date and time. The City will not be <br /> liable for delays in delivery of responses due to handling by the US Postal Service or any other <br /> type of delivery service. Faxed or emailed submittals shall be rejected. <br /> Project Scope: Under the direction of the Deputy Public Works Director, the selected consultant <br /> will accomplish solid waste management tasks including but not limited to: <br /> Conducting a community needs assessment and providing support for public input and <br /> involvement processes. <br /> Analyzing the potential impacts of implementing a universal solid waste, recycling, yard <br /> waste /organics collection program on rates and illegal dumping. <br /> Analyzing solid waste, recycling, and yard waste /organics collection services <br /> procurement options. <br /> Performing a comparative analysis of the City's residential, multi family and commercial <br /> solid waste, recycling, and yard waste collection services and rates. <br /> Drafting procurement document (Request for Bids or Request for Proposals), providing <br /> technical analysis /evaluation of bids /proposals. <br /> Conducting contract negotiations and providing other technical support as required. <br /> The full RFQ is available online at the City of Tukwila website at http: /www.ci.tukwila.wa.us <br /> under Legal /Public Notices. <br /> Published Seattle Times February 9, 2011 and February 16, 2011 <br /> Published Daily Journal of Commerce February 9, 2011 and February 16, 2011 <br />
