Development Agreement for the Tukwila Village Development Project; approved <br />10/22/2012 (City of Tukwila Contract 12 -176) <br />NOTE: Plans, codes, technical reports and attachments referenced above may be reviewed <br />and/or obtained by contacting Moira Carr Bradshaw, Senior Planner, 6300 Southcenter <br />Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, 98188; Phone: 206 - 431 -3670. <br />Existing Development <br />The subject site on the north side of S. 144 Street is vacant of any buildings. 40 Ave. S. a short <br />local access street runs north south through the site and ends in a cul -de -sac that provides access <br />to parking for an apartment building that fronts on 42 Ave. S. <br />The subject site on the south side of the S. 144 Street contains a vacant commercial building, a <br />separate small building that is used as a barber shop, a utility storage yard, a basketball court and <br />accessory parking for the King County Housing Authority. <br />Surrounding Land Use <br />Within the north block, in the southeast corner is the existing 5,200 square foot Foster Library. <br />The current proposal does not include any redevelopment of the existing library building. In the <br />immediate vicinity are a number of public uses such as the high and middle schools, public pool, <br />and a neighborhood park; a church and mosque; neighborhood retail such as drug stores, grocery <br />store, laundromats, and dry cleaners; and a variety of food establishments.
