D. Projecting Signs <br /> 1. Summary of Code Requirements <br /> a. Number of Signs Allowed: One per each Business which has a direct <br /> ground floor public entrance (in addition to Wall Signs) <br /> b. Allowable Sign Area: 20 square feet each side/40 square feet total <br /> C. Projection: No more than 4 Feet from Fagade <br /> d. Height: At least 8 feet above sidewalk level <br /> 2. Proposed Projecting Signs <br /> Tenants meeting the code criteria noted above, including the requirement for a <br /> direct ground floor public entrance, will be given the opportunity to install a <br /> Projecting Sign with a maximum area of 20 square feet on each side (40 square <br /> feet total) at the Masonry Pilaster locations as noted on Exhibits 11, 12 and 13 <br /> (the Exterior Building Elevations) and Exhibits 14, 15 and 16 (the Building Floor <br /> Plans), Projecting signs may be of any sign type allowed by code. <br /> E. Canopy Edge Sign <br /> 1. Summary of Code Requirements <br /> a. Number of Signs Allowed: May substitute for a Projecting Sign One per <br /> Business <br /> b. Location: Only permitted for Canopies located above a Public Entrance to <br /> a Business <br /> C. Message Size Lines: Single Line of Text <br /> d. Message Size Height: 12 Inches Maximum <br /> e. Message Size Length: 2/3 of the Canopy Length <br /> f. Illumination: Letters may be illuminated. <br /> 2.
