CITY OF TUKWILA CAPITAL PROJECT SUMMARY <br /> 2017 to 2022 <br /> PROJECT: Boeing Access Rd Over BNRR Bridge Rehabilitation Project No. 99410408 <br /> DESCRIPTION: Rehabilitate the existing bridge with a 340'long concrete or steel bridge structure. It will be 6 lanes <br /> and have a sidewalk on one side. <br /> The existing bridge is structurally and seismically deficient. Several pedestals are leaning, have concrete <br /> JUSTIFICATION: spalls, exposed rusty anchor bolts and reinforcements and some cracks. The existing railings do not meet <br /> current bridge standards. <br /> Type, size, and location draft report(specifically required for bridges)was completed in 2005. Federal <br /> STATUS: grant applications were submitted in 2008 and 2010 and the bridge rehabilitation was successful for <br /> funding in 2012 for federal bridge funds.A Public Works Trust Fund (PWTF) loan was rescinded in 2013. <br /> MAINT. IMPACT: Maintenance will be reduced. <br /> COMMENT: Bridge will be rehabilitated in phases to allow continued traffic use.
