1 ♦N R ♦: 1 <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Lodging Tax Advisory Committee <br />10:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 <br />Home2Suites <br />380 Upland Drive, Tukwila, WA 98188 <br />COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Council President Joe Duffie, Ben Oliver, Owen Leinbach, Jamie Randall <br />COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT <br />Miesa Berry, Daniel Lee, Jim Davis <br />Allan w "' Mayor <br />CITY STAFF <br />Council Analyst Laurel Humphrey, Business Relations Manager Brandon Miles, Community Engagement <br />Manager Mia Navarro <br />OTHER ATTENDEES <br />Meagan McGuire, Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority <br />Council President Duffie called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. <br />Welcome and Introductions — Council President Duffie welcomed attendees and each person <br />introduced themselves. <br />Approval of Agenda- The agenda was approved by a 4 -0 vote. <br />Approval of Minutes — Minutes of the October 21, 2016 and December 5, 2016 meetings were <br />approved by a 4 -0 vote. <br />Introduction of New City Employee — Business Relations Manager Brandon Miles introduced Mia <br />Navarro, the City of Tukwila's new Community Engagement Manager. Ms. Navarro is in the <br />Communications Division of the Mayor's Office and will be working to expand communications <br />between the City and the community. Some of the projects she will be working on include the Public <br />Safety Plan, Tukwila International Boulevard, and job shadow /internship opportunities for local <br />students. <br />
