City of Tukwila <br />Public Works Department - Bob Giberson, Director <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Transportation and Infrastructure Committe <br />FROM: Bob Giberson, Public Works Direct() <br />BY: Greg Villanueva, NPDES Coordinator <br />CC: Mayor Ekberg <br />DATE: August 11, 2017 <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />SUBJECT: National F'ollutant Discharge Elimination System Program (NPDES) <br />Project No. 99341210 <br />Department of Ecology (DOE) 2017-19 Municipal Stormwater Capacity Grant <br />ISSUE <br />Grant application approval for the 2017-2019 Municipal StormwaterCapacity-Building Grant for NPDES <br />and stormwater project funding, <br />BACKGROUND <br />The 2017 State Legislature has provided funding in the amount of $50,000 for local vern ants <br />covered by a municipal stormwater permit. <br />ANALYSIS <br />DOE has notified Tukwila that Stormwater Capacity Grants will be awarded to all NPDES municipal <br />permittees requesting funding through the State's Ecology's Administration of Grants & Loans (EAGL) <br />web -base management system. All projects must support compliance with NPDES Phase I or Phase II <br />municipal stormwater permit programs.
