City of Tukwila <br />Planning Commission <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES <br />Date: November 16, 2017 <br />Time: 6:30 PM <br />Location: Council Chambers <br />Present: Chair, Miguel Maestas; Vice Chair, Nhan Nguyen; Commissioners, Mike Hansen, <br />Sharon Maim, Louise Strander, and Dennis Martinez <br />Staff: Minnie Dhaliwal, Planning Supervisor; Moira Bradshaw, Senior Planner, and Wynetta <br />Bivens, Planning Commission Secretary <br />Chair, Maestas called the public hearing to order at 6:35 PM. <br />Adoption Commissioner Mann made a motion to adopt the 10/26/17 minutes <br />of Minutes: Commissioner Strander seconded the motion. <br />Commissioner Maestas requested one correction. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Chair Maestas swore in those wishing to provide testimony and opened the public hearing. <br />The Commissioners were asked the Appearance of Fairness questions. Commissioner Maim disclosed <br />that she is the Co -Chair of TIBAC and has been involved in the planning and progress of Tukwila <br />Village. No one was opposed to Commissioner Mann hearing the case. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REVIEW <br />I. STAFF PRESENTATION <br />Moira Bradshaw, Senior Planner, Department of Community Develop, gave the presentation. She <br />provided background on the project and went over the design criteria. Staff recommended <br />approval with four conditions as listed in the November 6, 2017, staff report. <br />II. APPLICANT PRESENTATION <br />Diana Keys, Director of Housing, Johnson Braund gave the presentation for the applicant. She <br />provided a detailed description of the project and answered questions. <br />III. PUBLIC TESTIMONY <br />Bryan Park, Tukwila Village Developer, provided information on the timeframe for completion of <br />the project. <br />3 <br />
