CITY OF TUKWILA CAPITAL PROJECT SUMMARY <br />2017 to 2022 <br />PROJECT: Tukwila Urban Center - Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge Project No. 90510403 <br />DESCRIPTION: Construct a new pedestrian/bicycle bridge over the Green River. <br />JUSTIFICATION: Pedestrian/bicycle connection between Tukwila's Urban Center and commuter rail/Amtrak station. <br />Supports local and regional goals and policies regarding land use and transportation in Urban Center. <br />Pedestrian System Report identified the optimal location for bridge crossing to be south of the Ramada Inn at <br />STATUS: 15901 West Valley Hwy. Type, Size, and Location Report was completed in 2011. Council approved a design <br />of a twin -tied arch bridge with no accommodation for a future bridge crossing over West Valley Highway. <br />MAINT. IMPACT: To be determined. <br />Design grants: State Enhancement for $190k & $500k, Transit Oriented Development (TOD) planning grant <br />COMMENT: of $55k, and Federal CMAQ grant of $751 K.
