...Ill 111,1,1,11p11111111111111111,1,1iHI <br />lly <br />City of Tukwila <br />Planning Commission <br />BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW(BAR) <br />PLANNING COMMISSION (PC) MINUTES <br />Date: August 23, 2018 <br />Time: 6:30 PM <br />Location: Council Chambers <br />Present: Vice Chair, Dennis Martinez; Commissioners, Sharon Mann Mike Hansen and <br />Heidi Watters <br />Absent: Chair, Nhan Nguyen; Commissioner Louise Strander and <br />Miguel Maestas <br />Staff: Nora Gierloff, Deputy Director; Minnie Dhaliwal, Planning Supervisor; Lindsay <br />Brown, Assistant Planner, Max Baker, Assistant Planner and ynetta Bivens, <br />Planning Commission Secretary <br />Vice -Chair Martinez called the Board of Architectural Review public hearing to order at 6:33 PM <br />and swore in those wishing to provide testimony. <br />Lindsay Brown, Assistant Planner, Department of Community Development asked the <br />appearance of fairness questions. There were no disclosures, and no objections to any of the <br />Commissioners hearing the project. <br />Case number L 18-0029 is a continuance from the BAR public hearing held July 26, 2018. <br />CASE NUMBER: L18-0029 <br />APPLICANT: Dale Sweeney <br />REQUEST: Design Review approval for development of a 44,405 sf. Tru by <br />Hilton hotel with 92 guest rooms and related site improvements. <br />LOCATION: Northwest comer of Minkler Boulevard and Andover Park West, <br />APN 2623049075 <br />Lindsay Brown gave the presentation for staff. She provided a re -cap of the proposal from the <br />July hearing, and the directions given by the BAR to staff and the applicant. Previously, staff <br />recommended approval of the proj ect'with 10 conditions. The BAR directed staff to work with the <br />applicant to create exhibits to reflect the revisions made to three of the recommended conditions. <br />Staff also returned with more info on the proposed street trees species as requested. An overview <br />of the revisions for the continuation were also given. Staff's revised recommendation from July 26, <br />2018 is approval of the project with three conditions and three informational items, as listed in the <br />August 14, 2018 addendum to the staff report. The applicant agrees with staff's recommended <br />conditions of approval. <br />There were no public comments. <br />Staff and the applicant addressed questions for the Commission. <br />7 <br />
