Approval of Agenda (3 minutes) <br />IV. Approval of Minutes, December 5, 2018 <br />Minutes for both meetings were approved <br />V. Business Items <br />• Discussion with Juan Padilla, Tukwila Human Resources Director — Mr. Padilla <br />provided information on his background, an overview of his approach to <br />reducing barriers to employment, as well as staff training and development. The <br />group had a detailed discussion of the intersection of Human Resources and <br />equity and inclusion work as it relates to the Commission. Both the Commission <br />and Mr. Padilla agreed to work together on common issues associated with <br />equity and social justice as it relates to personnel matters. The Commission also <br />requested some sort of regular check ins on grievances and harassment claims; <br />staff to vet through City Attorney. <br />• Discussion of subcommittees and workplan — the Commission discussed the <br />work plan and committees included in the packet.
