appropriate civilian attire as the occasion requires, with their Tukwila PD <br />supervisor's approval <br />2. The working hours of the SRO may require frequent adjustments to <br />accommodate special events requiring their presence <br />3. The SRO will start work at the assigned school one week before <br />the classes start for students in the fall. The starting time <br />corresponds with that of the school's administrative staff. This will <br />generally be in the third week of August. The SRO shall continue to <br />work at the school until the last day of the school year, generally <br />the second or third week of June. <br />4. Annual performance evaluations of the SRO will be the responsibility of the <br />SRO's supervisor within the Tukwila PD, and any evaluation and assessment <br />ofthe SRO Program as a whole will be conducted as a joint effort between the <br />District and Tukwila PD <br />5. All parties agree to maintain regular and open communication to evaluate <br />the effectiveness of this ILA and suggest improvements and adjustments <br />that may be necessary <br />6. All parties agree to provide their employees with training relative to the <br />SRO Program and its purpose <br />7. All parties will consider and adhere to all federal and state laws that govern the <br />collection, use, and dissemination of student records <br />8. Any formal complaints regarding the conduct of the SRO will be officially <br />processed through the Tukwila PD <br />VII. EFFECTIVE DATE: DURATION: <br />This ILA is effective on the 1St day of September, 2017, and shall remain in effect unless <br />renewed by agreement of both parties or terminated as provided herein. <br />VIII. MODIFICATION AND TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT: <br />Either party may terminate this ILA at any time upon written notice to the other party. <br />No modification of this ILA shall be valid unless the modification is in writing, duly <br />dated, and signed by both parties. <br />IX. INDEMNIFICATION <br />Each of the Parties shall defend, indemnify and hold the other Party, their officers, officials, <br />employees and agents harmless from any and all costs, claims, judgment, and/or awards of <br />damages, arising out of, or in any way resulting from that otherparty's negligent acts or <br />omissions in performing under this Agreement.
