Both artists, Olisa Enrico -Johnson and Sarah Kavage, will be wrapping up their <br />residencies with the City of Tukwila in the coming months. The artists will be preparing <br />a final report that will be ready for review at the November Arts Commission retreat. <br />ii. Southcenter District Art Project — Artist Beth Gahan is under contract and has begun the <br />planning work for the Southcenter District art projects. <br />5. New Business: <br />a. 2020 Retreat Planning — Arts Commissioners brainstormed a list of things that they would like <br />to talk about at the upcoming retreat. This list included: review of Artist in Resident <br />recommendations, Rotating Art Display program (process, stipends/reception), partnerships <br />with organizations and businesses, arts and culture programming, how to support artists in the <br />community (workshops, paid opportunities, mini -grants, etc.) and support of the Southcenter <br />District Art Project. <br />6. Commission/Staff Report Outs: <br />Tracy Gallaway, Staff Liaison —The Mayor is recommending that Shawn Belyea be appointed to <br />the Tukwila Arts Commission. Shawn has spent 30 years as a professional theater artist, arts <br />producer, and theater arts educator in Seattle. He currently works for Cornish College of the Arts <br />as a Resident Producer in the Theater Department. <br />7. Other <br />8. Agenda for Next/Future Meeting: <br />9.
