✓ The police have some ideas to welcome the public. They include a 3 -on -3 basketball tournament on
150th or in the north parking lot, a food truck rodeo, etc. They are hoping to turn the corner and be
able to have more fun plans in the works.
✓ Parking is frustrating.
o What about a firearms training for residents?
✓ Officers could teach general firearms safety- safe storage, cleaning, etc. Could they do a safety class
specifically for young people? They probably could not teach a shooting class.
o Next meeting will be in person at the EOC! (Update: as of 8/4/21, due to increase in COVID cases, meeting
will be back to virtual via Microsoft Teams)
o Night Out Against Crime — there has been talk of having this again this year.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:28 pm.
Minutes taken by Katrina Dohn
15005 Tukwila International Blvd. Tukwila, WA 98188 • Phone (206) 433-1808 • Records Fax (206) 244-6181 Invest.
