City of Tukwila <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Transportation and Infrastructure Committee <br />FROM: Brandon Miles, Business Relations Manager <br />CC: Mayor Ekberg <br />DATE: July 31, 2023 <br />SUBJECT: Public Works Operations Campus Update <br />ISSUE <br />Staff will provide regular updates on the progress of the design and preconstruction work for the <br />buildout of the Public Work's Operations Campus. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On June 5, 2023, the City Council gave approval for staff to begin design and preconstruction of <br />the Public Work's Operations. The project will consolidate all facilities related to public works <br />operations onto one property with modern, safe, and efficient facilities. Design and <br />preconstruction work is anticipated to run through May 1, 2025, the soonest construction could <br />begin. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Staff committed to providing monthly reports to the City Council regarding the status of the <br />project. Attached to this memo is the first report. Staff would like input on the overall framework <br />of the report and if it provides the City Council with the information it would like to have in the <br />report. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Discussion Only. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
